A Danson House wedding, Bexleyheath's prettiest registry office.
The pandemic put a pause on Rosalie and Oliver's big German wedding plans but it didn't stop them from having part one of their wedding in the beautiful Danson House. A gorgeous grade 1 listed Georgian Villa, nestled in the heart of the 200 acres of Danson Park, in Bexleyheath, SE London.
Danson House feels like one of South East London's best-kept secrets. With ornate walls, opulent rooms and a secret spiral staircase, usually hidden from public view. We felt like we were transported back in time to a wedding ceremony fit for royalty.
A tiny guest list but a whole lot of love (and confetti).
Oliver and Rosalie were joined by a handful of their close friends and Oliver's parents, all armed with as much confetti as they could carry and a whole lot of laughter. Their heartfelt ceremony was beautifully intimate. Their vows were live-streamed to Rosie's family in Germany and you could feel the emotion in the room.

One bonus of having your wedding during the pandemic restrictions is that it can sometimes mean that you'll have a venue entirely to yourself and sometimes if you're really lucky, granted access to something a little special. We were invited to take a few photos on the ornate Danson staircase which made Rosie and Oliver's wedding feel even more special.
Wedding photos in the Old English Rose Garden, Danson Park.
We took a few photos on the impressive stone steps outside, then headed to the English rose garden for some more photos, half a tonne of confetti and a stroll through the gardens where the spring flowers were in full bloom.
A beautiful wedding at Danson House, come rain or shine!
After a bouquet toss that resulted in an unsuspecting groomsman with a good catch and bouquet that miraculously stayed in one piece, even after being launched pretty high into the trees, I waved off the newlyweds, and the heavens opened. It started to rain, a lot! Our timing and the whole day could not have been more perfect.
A five-star review, the icing on the cake!
And this is what Rosie and Oliver said " We honestly could not have chosen a better photographer!
Thank you for making it so fun and special and for making me feel so beautiful- honestly, we loved having you as part of our day".
