Remember those summers you had as a child? Those summer days that seemed to last forever. Far away from the hum of the city, running barefoot through the long grass, warm sun on your back. The kind of summer day that you want to breathe in and not let go of. Hold on to that image in your head and you'll have the very beginnings of this beautiful wedding day. A day that felt exactly like that.
Stuart and Sarah were married at The Papermill, Benenden in Kent, so pretty and hidden that it feels like you have stumbled on a secret. Wander through the woods down a little sun dappled path that leads you to a clearing ...
Stuart and Sarah's wedding ceremony was held in a little bower of twisted tree branches that blended into the woodland seamlessly. They were married in the cool shade of tall trees on a blistering hot August afternoon surrounded by flowers, and people that they love. Their wedding ceremony intimate and heartfelt.
As dusk fell, fairy lights strung through the trees led the way to a wedding reception that really was something quite special. A teepee, toasted marshmallows and an acoustic guitarist that sang songs around a bonfire until the wee small hours made it feel more like a private music festival than a traditional wedding reception. I only wish that their wedding could have lasted longer.
So many congratulations Stuart and Sarah, your woodland festival wedding is one that not only made my summer but one I will never forget, can we do it all again next year please?
